So the Bureau of Labor Statistics says consumer prices for all of 2006 rose 2.5%.

Did your cost of living rise only 2.5% last year?

Do you know anyone whose cost of living rose only 2.5% last year?

Or has the whole process of computing CPI become so laughable that even mainstream financial journalists whose cost of living rose more than 2.5% last year might start to catch on?

No, probably not.  But a guy can dream, can’t he?
