You Know it’s Bad When the Current System Looks Good

03/03/10 Stockholm, Sweden – Government spending is out of control, and President Obama seems to at least recognize it…even if his administration is doing little to remedy it.

Instead, his efforts to rein in spending seem concentrated on health care reform, despite the fact that it’s such a convoluted and expensive proposition. Health care reform can’t help but invite the twin evils of confusion and corruption to the bargaining table.

It’s enough to make you start to appreciate the evils you already know.

Absolutely not! The devil we know will totally destroy health care. The provisions to stop Medicare fraud will help. The Republican congress opposed that for their 8 years just like they oppose anything that helps citizens and are for anything that lets business rip off the public. The devil in the picture is spelled GOP.

    This is rediculous!
Not being an Obama fan (non partisan voter), I could just puke at the inference in your article!
Reagan gave huge tax cuts and increased the deficit in great order; (forget the first Bush admin); Clinton invited the masters of the universe into his boudoir and we had two huge bubbles, dot/com and then the beginning of the housing one; GW Bush took the deficit directly into the toilet and crushed any societal aspirations; and now we are going to blame OBAMA?????????????????????????????

What would you cut, Mr. Vega??????
    Come on, make some cuts???????????????????

We, the taxpayers have continuously bailed out the money-changers in a “market” that is a continuing quest for power, insatiable greed, and a TOTAL lack of ethics.

    Get Real…!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to disagree. I think the Obama administration is taking steps to rein in healthcare costs with their various initiatives to fight fraud and waste, particularly Medicare fraud. In reading about the extent of Medicare fraud at http://www.planprescriber.com/Medicare/newsletter-nov2009-medicarefraud.html I think efforts like the Senior Medicare Patrols and an increase by the FBI to investigate cases will make a difference and save taxpayers a heap of money.

Take a look at some of the people on Mr. O’s health com. They are naturopaths. Vitamin D, B12, vit c, a war on carbs and banish all the low fat people. And instant health cost reduction by at least half.
