Elsewhere, Daniel Gross remarks at Newsweek's site, "If the containment policy of the Cold War worked as well as this subprime-mess containment policy, we'd all be speaking Russian and living on collective farms."  A not-bad takedown of Paulson, Bernanke & Co., although like most mainstream media types, he's clueless about the root cause — the ever-expanding money supply.
