10/13/09 Stockholm, Sweden – It wasn’t long ago, just last month, that Allen Stanford was in a jail fight where he suffered a concussion, a broken nose, and two black eyes.
Not one to be outdone by another Ponzi-schemer, Bernie Madoff seems to have gotten in a kerfuffle of his own, but faired quite a bit better.
In the process of serving his 150-year sentence he apparently worked himself and another federal prisoner into a heated discussion, over the stock market no less.
The argument culminated in a shouting and, ultimately, shoving match where the 71-year-old Madoff prevailed over his 60-year-old foe. Neither seemed to be injured in the confrontation and it appears as if neither will be punished. You can’t make this stuff up.
