Federal Reserve’s Ad Campaign is Stranger Than Fiction

leadimage

12/03/09 Stockholm, Sweden – In the lead up to Bernanke’s testimony before Congress, the Federal Reserve has been running ads on the responsible use of credit in movie theaters. This is of course the same Fed that has been on a spending spree in the trillions of dollars, with seemingly little concern about the debt being accrued.

In the commercial, according to the LA Times, “over jazzy music, the announcer asks: ‘Want to use your credit card wisely? Here are some tips you can trust from the Federal Reserve.’” It’s more than a touch ironic… the Fed should be the last place anyone seeks credit advice.
