October surprise watch
An October surprise could well happen in November, given that the election isn't until the 7th, but in any event, here comes a good candidate: U.S. war games in Iran's backyard.
I'm both fascinated and horrified by the proposition that a Gulf of Tonkin deception could be pulled off again, 42 years after the first one.
