If the masses get restless, I for one would haul my gold and silver over to Mogambo’s bunker, with my shotguns and cases of ammo, and take turns guarding the place, so long as that greedy obnoxious bastard doesn’t try to sneak into my stash while I’m doing it!

For some reason you seem to think that the rich are untouchable. A believe in this country because the rich have gotten away with things because just about everyone else aspires to be rich. Well that is changing and changing fast. Just remember with all that money you can run but you can’t hide. There will be many more without the gold and silver and oil stocks and if you look at history the hungry can get out of hand very quickly. Unless of course you want to spend all that money on an army protecting all that wealth. Seems like a waste of time really since you can’t live forever.

Speaking of throwing money, I’m reminded of a certain tendency of some species of monkeys to throw their feces at a perceived threat. It is not so great a leap to visualize Bernanke and Geithner as feces tossing monkeys. Yep, that’ll do.

What manner of idiot thinks that they can ‘re-engineer’ reality with any measure of success? Politicians and bankers, that’s who! And what kind of management throws money to solve problems?
