I like your position, never give up a vice that has not given you up...something like that. Anyway enjoy your articles, read them daily.
Why aren't you, Denneniger and assorted free thinkers in demand in government? On second thought, I just answered my own question.
Good luck...and to us all. Jack

This has been an extremely bad PR week for chimpanzees. I called my broker and had him sell 100 shares of CHMP.

Confucious say: "Service economy mean print a whole lot of money to mimic wages and standard of living of industrial economy!" What IS the alternative? There is none. Had they not done this we'd all, except for the rich, be eating beans out of a can. And no one here wanted any benefit from the other way, which the'd consider to be liabilities; you know, families having to stay together (little or no divorces) with the kids pitching in like my parents had to during the 1930's; a toned-down lifestyle with no more five cars in four member households (we all need our toys, after all). Oh yes! We'd have to base our lives on some real values and who knows, perhaps Shakespeare and the classics in literature and art would make a comeback once a gameboy is considered too expensive. just think of the knock-on effect on education in this country! Once people saw all the improvements they'd at last realize that it was the family unit--and NOT government spending of billions of dollars--that mattered after all.

May I ask what you might see as a stupid assumption? If the dollar collapses and gold is at $2k to $3k an ounce, what happens to its dollar equivalent per ounce if, say, the euro is adopted as the next reserve currency and the price of gold gets based on it? Any takers?

The slow train wreck motors on.
It is oh so frustrating to know what should be done, what will eventually have to be done and watch this unfold.
I don't know how all this ends but it cannot be good.
