Bailout and stimulus are a stopgap

Actually, they are more like an attempt to conceal a pregnancy. The one word to describe our times: consequences

although i agree with the sense of what is said here it is high on gaseous bloviation and short on enforcement.....our founding fathers rejected such airyness with specific enforcements of financial continence.....

specifically the founders knew that men could not be trusted with such high mindedness - they knew talk was cheap and the spirit weak. so they gave us in the constitution a gold standard. with the gold standard all of the goals alluded to in the article could be met. without a willingness to commit heart soul and mind to the return of the gold standard all talk of austerity is prolixity....

when sound money (gold) circulates sound decisions are common. we have raised 5 generations without a gold standard and financial immorality is the result. what we witness today is a crisis of leadership spawned directly by a crisis of gold.

without gold this nation perishes - it is god's gift to modern man.

alhtough my comments may come across as caustic they are not meant to be offensive....it is just that the hour is short and the time for playing games is over....
