I enjoy reading your column but no mode of transportation in this country makes a profit. The government pours a fortune into automobile roads and another fortune into airline infrastructure and most of the airlines still lose money.

In fact it may just be that the northeast Amtrak corridor is the only part of our transportation system that does actually make money. Apparently there is some lively debate on this topic.

Bill does seem to have been bamboozled by definitions for “government”, He says govs couldn’t organise anything when everyone the ruling elites put the USgovernment in power and keep them there so who is ruling who ?? then he says the East German “government” made a mess of things when everybody knows their “government” was a military dictatorship controlled by a totalatarian state.. so what are we talking about when Billsays “governments” mess things up? Who is in charge — the puppet or puppeteer? Find the real source of power, control, deception, misrepresentation .. they are out there but very good at dodging and hiding.

You have the Constitution confused with the Declaration of Independence – “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” and “when in the course of human events” are to be found in the latter document, not the former.

Homer Simpson was put into a position on one of the shows where he was given full authority by a long lost brother….to run the auto company. You should get a picture of the car he created and his reason for the ‘accessories’……………………….. Quite hilarious, concerning whats going on today with the Gov controlling the car companies.

This is truly astounding. I mean truly. Where is Volker in all of this?

I hate to say it – but Obama has gone from being a clear-thinking, articulate leader who I believed could set a course based primarily on reason rather than political gain. Sadly, he’ll get neither when this is all over.

Just two weeks ago my company bought a DVD packaging machine for 17 cents on the dollar from a bankrupt competitor.
Obviously unbeknown to the government, this company failed, closed down and all their old equipment of any use was acquired by guys like me.
This machine will do the work of 10 people.
Uh oh!
