Best way out there to buy gold I know. There are indeed potential issues with "paper gold" and ETF's - true or not I can't say, but the Queen has given BV an award for innovation last year and so if Our Lizzie recommends it, that's good enough for me ! Read various opinions as to whether owning ETF shares like GLD or SLV is a viable option due to liquidity and actual ownership of gold. Would be interested in hearing about the various options for owning gold other than storing it in a safe at the house or a safe deposit box at the bank. I've come to the conclusion that the BullionVault is not all that bad an option and its fees for storage are in line with owning shares in the vast majority of mutual funds. Not trying to set you up here, but are bullion banks such as the BullionVault viable alternatives.
