We chose to make our adjustments by 1990. We have stayed out of debt, saved, contracted our lifestyle, and learned to live requiring less resource input. We have gold and silver, just in case, of course, but $US seem to buy a little more every day. That's really new. Most people still laugh at us about the dollar strengthening. Our only response is, what is the worst possible thing that can happen to those who are in debt?

Lost and Found may be smiling, but it will be the thousand meter smile of a man in shock. Of course, he may well be the lucky one.

When the trucks stop and three days later some smiling idiot wanders through what used to be Wallie World, give him a cookie.

And, by the way, the feds are not forced to do anything. It is all a matter of choice. Even idiots are allowed to make choices.

Well, when and if deflation comes, I'll be walking around with a big smile on my face. Prices have been waaaaaaaaaaaaay too high for at least 20-30 years. You may keep the inflation that follows afterwards for yourself :-).

Next up, will be trade wars. Every country for themselves, as they attempt to preserve their home industries and jobs, through subsidies and tariffs. This should send global economies into warp speed hyper-deflation, as the globe will be awashed in goods and products. Beam me up Scottie, there is no intelligent life forms on this planet.
