From what I am perceiving, not only is the US in trouble, but so is the dream of the Socialists. To proclaim a NWO in the condition this planet is in, is the same old story of the Emperor's New Clothes. While China and Russia are moving toward capitalism, and continuing to be strongly nationalistic, England and the US are moving in the opposite direction.

My bet is on the Chinese and Russians. Who woulda thought
that our once enemies would become the beacons for national
sovereignity.

The world has turned upside down.

Its like this -- rotten people make rotten systems. The best system falls apart with fruadulent players .. most people ardently strive to hold a privedleged position in any system. yes to be exempt! that is the goal .. who wants to wait in line! Rules are for losers. Lets all cheat a little. Of coarse when too many people cheat, the knck is to get your money over to the Caymens before it hits the fan Yes, if you are now a loser you are carrying the can. And yes much of the swindle was illegal but how good is the legal system? These are questions people ask when systems fail/dissolve. Now you understand why confidence is so important in a swindle! Is anyone honest out there?? maybe only the gold bar...

Wow, what a silly piece. Capitalism did't cause this. Ripping up the regulations and then leveraging crap at 40:1 and rating it falsely as AAA caused this.

Dear Mr. Bonner,

You are making the analysis mistake almost everyone does. Capitalism, by itself, does NOT lead to boom and busts.

Banking, as practiced in Capitalism, leads to booms and bust. Let me explain.

When Interest is charged on loan Principle by bankers, the system is inherently unstable, even when the currency is gold.

For example, in a FIXED money supply, the money necessary to pay the Interest is NOT created. Thus, I/(P+I) % borrowers and/or lenders MUST go bankrupt.

This process in normal banking is POSTPONED by the expansion of the money supply by reserve banking to create more debt to pay the (original) interest. However, eventually so much money must be borrowed to pay the accumulated interest that borrowers no longer have the INCOME to make payments and the whole system collapses in deflationary cascading debt destruction.

The DR Forum posters have discussed this process in detail many times. It's a dirty shame you pulled the plug on the DR 2 cents Forum. Please bring it back.

TIA. A faithful reader.

There's "Crony Socialism" and what we have: "Crony Capitalism".
A "Crony" is a "Crony" I say. The vast power of a few "Cronies" over our financial system takes my breath away.
It will be years before most folk's begin to realize that they've had their pockets picked.

"Then, the capitalists lost their money. Big deal. " : "But that doesn’t stop capitalists from whining to the authorities when trouble comes. "

But these people (bankers) are not real capitalists. They are a privileged industry. Pure mercantilism. Calling them capitalists is an undeserved compliment. And it kinda makes the free market get the blame for problems that a real free market would not create.
