You are only telling half the story. The Fed are inflating the currency with a clear purpose in mind: which is to devalue the debt that the USA owes to China, and ultimately force China to float their Yuan which has been artificially pegged at an unsustainable low rate for many years.

Maybe Mogambo comes from the old fashioned school that believes debts should be repaid in full, or maybe currency manipulation is the real sin here. If they had been backing their trade with real metal then we would not have run into either problem.

We all know what the predictable Fed will do next, the BIG question is what China does next, how hard they yank the rug from under the US dollar, and what sort of new global reserve currency they come up with.

Arrrrrr, Mogambo; haven't I seen you some place before? Seems I recollect someone looking like you stealing my last bottle of Rum and running out the door with his trousers half way down because of the weight of gold in his pockets??
Well a pirates gotta do what pirates do right. Me and my band of jolly buccaneers will be setting sail tomorrow for more adventures on the high seas; you know these days the only thing to do is to go a-pirating.
Fifteen men on the dead man's chest-- Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!

Fair winds to all you buccaneers !!

Gotta love this guy. Hands down winner of the Austrian Comedy Club Showdown.

I find I strongly prefer my anti-Keynesian vitriole with a double shot of laughter.

Mo (may I call you Mo, after all, we may well be friends one day), let me congratulate you on your lead in the race for whatever award it is that you plan to once again award to yourself. As a good faith gesture on my part, as I expect none from you even though we may well be friends one day; I am transferring several unused credits from my account to yours thus increasing your nearly insurmountable lead. After all, I have no need of awards as I am married to a large angry woman and I am very much afraid of her.

I can't find a punctuation error, although I abhor exclamation points (!). Where does The Guru differ from Krugman, Stiglitz, and Roubini?
