India will have its days in the sun, but not many. Too many people, stretched resources, the caste system, did I mention too many people. I'll bet on China over India every time.

1. Good job Addison on the so very stereo typed article that it was hard to find out what you were writing about. Guess just feeding some other stereo type readers.
2. Secondly, no one can take any ones job except that persons lack of skills, education and motivation.
3. I have also heard that there are around 12,000 expatriates working in city of Bangalore only.
4. As investors, pay more attention to your returns than to the horns and songs, you will do better.
5. Enjoy life's all flavors and don't grudge others happiness.
Hope its not too much for you couch potatoes!!

Unemployed Native-

I am employed, but not in my field. I graduated with a degree in engineering, but was never able to find work in my field. So I enjoy the consistent requests of people like the president of MIT to allow more visas for engineering students. There are thousands of engineering students in this country who would love a job, but can't find one.

It is easier to get engineering jobs once you have experience, but how do you get that? What it really comes down to is a good engineer could command a high salary and the companies don't want to pay it. They would rather have ashish do it for a third the money. They have been talking about a shortage of engineers for decades. Haven't noticed it myself.

Cheers.

I wonder if India will ever provide a H[indu]-1B visa that out of work Americans can take advantage of so that we can move to India and displace a lot native software engineers over in their country.

I just read that an Indian financial journal is requesting that the cap for H-1B visas be increased even though unemployment in the US is the highest its been since the great depression.

No doubt the knuckleheads in Washington will approve the request. Oh well, living in a tent city ain't so bad once you get used to it.

In response to encouraging people to get out and vote, I advise the age old Communist workers saying, "You pretend to pay us, we pretend to work", and translate that into:

You pretend to represent us in government and we pretend to vote for a corrupted totalitarian democracy.
