As an engineer, divergent exponentials are a bad thing. So that'll be compound interest for a start.. the stupidity pretty much begins when you start expecting more out than you put in without the machinery exploding y'all.

Why are the Obama economists following keynesian economics? It has proven the greatest failure of all. seems of all the economists, Lucas is actually the most vindicated. Who has profited in stocks? essentially only Goldman criminal activity has been rewarded via the Obama Keynesian theft. Who has profited in housing? Essentially criminals in the MBS,CDO, mortgage brokers.

Of course, there are, as always, exceptions to the rule. These are the ones which are called geniuses centurys after they died.

I liked the economist's cover in question. From PhD upwards all scientists are either crooks or believers in and defenders of hocus pocus. They are the guys to make people believe what they have to believe when they come to believe it. And as I said. Not only the economists.

I don't know, Goldman and them guys profits looked pretty excessive to me, especially when I compare their paycheck with mine. My dad was a top notch auto mechanic for over 40 years and he could predict that if you spend more than you make it is only a matter of time before you face trouble. He also knew that if you pay $4500 for junk cars then you'll hit the skids even faster. And hey, he was a ninth grade drop-out!

Doofuses like Lucas seem to be in endless quantity on internet forums (this site excepted) because apparently having a hammerlock on newspaper, journal and network TV content isn't quite enough.

They can scream loud, but that doesn't make it true.

Lucas and the other Rational expectations Hypothesis guys had it right. Essentially they claim the public policy strategy is to "do nothing". Ie stay out of the money manipulation game. In university, the rational Expectations professors taught us that "you cant make excessprofit in the market nor in housing market". They were right and Goldman, AIG, Obama was wrong.
