Surely the silver price has something to do with the winding down of major industrial uses of silver, such as film photography and catalytic converters.

Perhaps the price is a combination of the market recognising future demand, and gold being relatively over priced.

World silver mine production is really pretty irrelevant. Most silver is produced as a by product of copper mine production.
Mines which are primarily silver mine producers are a small part of total world production.

I would tell Simon that he is an idiot but it has already been done. So… great article Mr. Mogambo! I like the recent emphasis on silver. I too like HL for mining. I never buy SLV or GLD because it adds to the problem in my opinion.

i`ll be concise: the manipulation will continue for a long time, so dont throw money in silver unless you can wait, and by wait i mean 5-10 years. I wont back my affirmation with anything (it could jeopardize my career), but trust me on this one. “patience” is indeed the key word. And gold is overvalued for the moment, but that could change in a heartbeat when the chinese wake up.

If you find the rants of the Mogambo painful then stop reading them.

“I hope that helps…” You’re joking right?

If the Mogambo adopted your “constructive”? criticism he would soon be out of a job because he would no longer be the Mogambo (NLBTM) and his readership would dry up faster than your prose.

You may have “hope”, but I see no hope in your ability to read the Mogambo’s future postings without pain.

But then again, perhaps that is what the Mogambo and his Junior Rangers can hope for.

Not to be a contrarian, but that 16:1 ratio could also be converted to gold being overvalued and the correction should then be Gold=$205.12/oz at the current silver price.

Mr. Daughty,

I hope you take the following commentary how it is intended (constructive criticism).
I want to read your postings, but in their current form I find it difficult, so my advice is to improve the quality of your writing.
Biggest piece of advice: make it more concise.
This posting was honestly painful to read. I doubt (and ask around if you think I may be wrong) that many people want to read your rants.
If you have an intelligent argument or useful information on the topic being discussed (silver) then I am sure many people will want to read it and will be happy to cite you as a good source on the topic. If it doesn’t add to the purpose of your article, don’t write it. You could have reduced this post to: I am bullish on silver. Ted Butler said “…”. And then your quick conclusion.

I hope that helps, and I hope I will be able to read your future postings.
