Another great Bill Bonner story.

Here's a chuckle from 3/16 Forbes column by WS guru Laszlo Birinyi from his perch in Westport, Conn.: After reporting that all but two of his 2008 recommendations crapped out, he blithely announces to readers that he's continuing to recommend one of them for 09 - Ralph Lauren! Apparently, as we head into depression, Laszlo sees a coming boom in monogrammed slippers and other accoutrements of the faux aristocracy. The clincher is his rationale: RL "is in the process of taking over an entire block on New York's Madison Avenue. If its founder is so confident in his expansion, I'll go along." !!

Wonderful.

These posts are highly entertaining and about 95-97 percent correct. The 3-5 percent will likely be an issue for the talented author...

I'm glad I have an optimistic nature, as reading the truth every day is hard to swallow.
Incredible that someone - you - can put his thoughts about our complex economic/financial society on paper like you do - clear and straight forward.
