what if the feds nationalize banks and start handing out money in the form of no questions asked loans? I mean that's what banks have done for the past two decades, so if the banks are insolvent and the feds take them over, what would stop them from giving loans to deadbeats? They've been screaming how they need to get credit unfrozen so this does not sound to crazy to me. That would sure as hell get inflation going!

lainvestorgirl, Mr. Bonner is just pissed that Aurum didn't make it beyond 1000 lately ... after the fed went berserk buying up Treasuries. And, earning his money basically by being a financial writer, he paves the way to not have to wear sackcloth and ashes at a later point in time... should it evolve that his trade of the decade won't survive with the long proclaimed end.

I don't think so I.girl, you only have to be patient. Gold will not explode before the last die-hard WS-bulls get whacked - can take one more year (yes only one more year, as time and things unroll much faster then 80 years ago).
Good luck...

I'm a little confused: for those who were buying up commodities and metals, does this change the strategy? Is Bonner recommending holding cash?
